“Little Wonders” is inspired by my sorority’s national president, Marsha King Grady. During our 2010 convention in Washington D.C., Marsha spoke about the “little wonders” that make her position as National President worthwhile. Her speech was so inspirational and “little wonders” has stuck with me ever since. When living in the AXΩ house for a second year, my senior year, I posted a sticky note on my mirror with “little wonders” written on it to remind me to appreciate all of the little things that make each day so great. Remembering its meaning keeps me going!
Now that I am a college graduate and have moved onto the “real world” (or tried at least), those same “little wonders” keep me going every day. Although beauty tips aren’t exactly the most inspirational things in the world, a new lip gloss or a new tip sure can make a girl feel great. And, I decided to expand my horizons and share a few more of the things that get me through the day by starting “the quote book” online. Ever since my Aunt Vicky bought me a journal with inspirational quotes on each page, I’ve kept books of quotes that speak to me, make me think, or sometimes – make me feel better about what I’m going through. Those, my friends, are “little wonders” too.
I’m sure as time goes on, this blog will evolve and become as random as I am, but for now, enjoy. And as always, I’d love feedback.
